Project ID: RRF-2.3.1-21-2022-00014
Project description:
The National Multidisciplinary Laboratory for Climate Change carries out research and development activities in the field of technological, economic and social adaptation, in addition to studying the characteristics of climate change and the impacts of climate change elements on human health, natural and economic systems and society.
The activities of the National Multidisciplinary Laboratory for Climate Change include the study of the drivers of climate change and their impacts on natural and economic systems and society, as well as research and development in the field of technological and social adaptation.
Focus areas:
- Exploration of previously unregulated sources of soot particles, particularly estimating the extent of illegal residential waste burning.
- Phosphorus testing in natural living waters.
- Determination of the chemical and absorption properties of particles in industrial combustion technology developments.
- Examination of planktonic organisms in the Lake Balaton.
- Hydrogeological research regarding risks to drinking water supply and agricultural irrigation.
- Development of a "Helyben helyit" application and a social footprint model; creation of a specialized teaching materials for environmental awareness.
- Development of a methodology for the use of the non-hydrostatic climate model;
- System development of bioelectrochemical.
- Design of a technological system for addressing water supply issues.
- Conducting CO2 reduction experiments.
- Patenting of a national medical meteorology and air pollution forecasting system.
Researc areas of the University of Pannonia:
- Research on soot particles
