Collaborative Hospital Information Platform - Establishment of a medical system supporting process-oriented in-patient care (2020-1.1.2-PIACI-KFI-2020-00045)

Project ID: 2020-1.1.2-PIACI-KFI-2020-00045

Project description:

The aim of the project is to develop the Collaborative Hospital Information Platform, which breaks with the insular operating model of hospital systems and the episodic approach to patient care.  During the development of the platform, the main aspects are patient-centeredness and the application of a process approach tailored to the medical profession. The further goal is to extend the scope of care beyond institutional administration and broaden the system's utilization in multiple ways (temporally and spatially) for both healthcare professionals and patients, aligning with the digital directions defined by EESZT. Artificial intelligence supported by IoT devices uniquely assists in organizing, scheduling, and managing diagnostic and therapeutic events (e.g., visits, treatments) related to patient care. Domestic and international competitors have partial solutions, while the targeted product has demand in regional and broader international markets known through ASSECO.  As part of the project, the product's readiness level reaches 100%, meaning it can be introduced into any public or private institution providing in-patient care facility. The preliminary market research indicates that the investment will yield a return within a maximum of four years after the closing of the project, thanks to sales in the international market. Further developments can be financed from additional sales revenue.

The South-Pest Hospital Centre, which serves as both a research and pilot site, plays a central role in supporting the project as a knowledge-intensive healthcare institution.

The Collaborative Hospital Information Platform product ensures the conditions for long-term, profitable operation through advanced technical solutions and aligns with the ongoing transformation in the healthcare sector, offering future-proof solutions for all modern healthcare providers.
